► Tuesday, 12th of February at 7.30pm! Join us for another Coworking Tuesday with Kaveh Angahar, who’ll talk about The Historical Contributions of the Non-Western World in the Making of Modernity.

Kaveh is a social worker/instructor, historian and rapper from Berlin. He was born in Iran and lived in a number of countries including France, Canada and Spain.

In his talk, Kaveh makes an attempt to deconstruct hegemonic Eurocentric and ‘Orientalist’ assumptions about the global south. In order to do so, he will examine the importance and effects of some crucial non-Western knowledge and resources until the 19th century and outline the ways in which they contributed to European developments, Western supremacy and modernity at large.

The lecture is going to be interactive and people in the audience are invited to share their knowledge and expertise and participate in the discussion.
