► 25 September, 2019 featuring Felicia Lazaridou
· ABOUT ·
We would be delighted for you to attend this lecture presentation on ‘Institutional Racism in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology’ by Felicia Lazaridou of The empowermentalist, a transformational psychological service in Berlin. Focusing on the absence of Black and minority ethnic people in The Academy, Felicia will explore the need for a more conscious and deliberate push for institutional reforms which recognises that racism and many forms of discrimination may occur simultaneously in the matrix of mental health practice, training and research. Felicia argues that the examination of institutional whiteness needs to be a source of societal health care ethics to improve patient care for Black and minority ethnic, marginalised populations.
